Hi all, something from the mailbox today: an upcoming exhibition of the McFarlane Dress Collection, on display in September, accompanied by a fashion parade and afternoon tea on the Sunday at 1pm – with bonus exhibition of sewing machines!

What: Exhibition of the McFarlane Dress Collection
When: 10am-4pm Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th September, 2026
Where: Skipton Community Hall, 5 Anderson St, Skipton VIC 3361
Cost: free!
The McFarlane Dress Collection has been collected by Jennifer Blomeley over twenty five years, and includes ‘spectacular vintage gowns from the 20th century including designs by Australian couturiers Carla Zampatti, Suzanne Cole, Dana Mathers and Matthew Eager’. Other designers include Josef Ribkoff, J’Adore and De Lara Couture.

Hi Shauna, I might pop into the Melbourne fair but alas, I’m not currently trading – the big project is adding my collection online so it can be shared (see here). But I’ll definitely be popping up to Shipton!
