[Talk] House of Merivale

Hi all,

My next talk is next week – I’ll be speaking about much-loved Sydney label ‘The House of Merivale’. From the Glen Eira libraries website:

Australia’s first fashion concept store, Merivale, was our answer to London’s Biba, producing small runs of cutting-edge fashion. During the ’60s and ’70s, their diverse range of styles included everything from hippie, boho, disco and glam rock, to Victorian-revival prairie dresses – and all the glamorous accessories to create the complete look.

Join fashion historian and author Nicole Jenkins for a look at one of Australia’s most dynamic fashion labels.

What: The House of Merivale – an illustrated talk with Nicole Jenkins.
When: Thursday, 13th July, 2023, 7pm-8pm

  1. Hello are any of these Merivale dresses, suits for sale? I’m an interested buyer from Sydney edinoz on eBay. Can pay via PayPal or internet transfer but not great on internet banking St George doesn’t seem to do Osco for immediate payments into a bank account. Also interested in Mr Christian shoes but not platform and Covers Australian suits and dresses

  2. Hi Edwina, Merivale comes up frequently on ebay: you can set up a search to be the first to know. Etsy also has its fair share.
