Hi all,
The Villa Alba currently has an exhibition of fashion and photographs called ‘The Feminine Aesthetic’, displaying objects from the collection of the Kew Historical Society. There are lots of Australian designers and a few international ones represented including House of Youth, Park Avenue Gowns, Oggi, Hartnell of Melbourne, Norma Tullo, Martin Grant and a mini-crini from Vivienne Westwood. They’ve asked me to contribute one of my Norma Tullo dresses, which you can see on display in the main room.
They’ve also asked me to present a talk on the designer – late notice, apologies – but I’ll be talking about this most important of Australian designers and her contribution to fashion. Hope you can make it.
