Stage Fright at the Order of Melbourne

Last week Miss Poppy Cherry invited me to see her new show at the Order of Melbourne – “Stage Fright!” which is part burlesque show, part murder mystery. I love the ’20s and Agatha Christie and of course, love burlesque so it seemed a match made in heaven and the cast did not disappoint.

It’s really an excuse to string a bunch of performances together with a dramatic story, and it gets a bit silly in parts (not that I minded) and it was my first time seeing Honey B. Goode and Kelly Ann Doll (who’s just been crowned Miss Burlesque Victoria) and they lived up to the hype. Poppy also dances for us, and left us wanting more.

Here are some pics from our ringside seat…as always, click on an image to see in full.

More information at the Facebook page.

There are only a small number of seats left for the final show this Sunday, so if you’re interested I encourage you to book quickly. Arrive early for the good seats – we were there at 6pm, gin and tonics in hand, to snaffle a good position.
