My last library talk for the year is now open for bookings: join us for a fun look at the styles of the ’70s.
Step into the wide variety of ‘70s fashion: a time with something for everyone, from the sexy glam rock of Abba and David Bowie to the modest ‘prairie dresses’ of Laura Ashley and Gunne Sax. The colourful bohemian styles of Thea Porter and Zandra Rhodes to the romantic nostalgia of Ossie Clark and Biba. Here in Australia we were dressing in House of Merivale and Flamingo Park. Soon everything was swept away by the arrival of punk and unisex.
Join author and fashion historian, Nicole Jenkins for an illustrated talk on this most varied and colourful of decades.
What: 1970s fashion, a presentation by Nicole Jenkins.
When: Tuesday, 14th December, 7pm-8pm
