Hi everyone,
My next talk is coming up, free and online, for the Villa Alba museum, as part of their new programme of lectures.
An illustrated look at the history and impact of British royal wedding gowns over the last 170 years, including the styles worn by Queen Elizabeth II, the Duchess of Windsor, the Duchess of Sussex and Princess Beatrice. Choices on such celebratory occasions are highly personal and reveal details about the women who wore them, their status and intended roles, and altered the way we dress for our own weddings.
Nicole Jenkins is as a fashion historian: collector, curator and the awardâ€winning author of books ‘Love Vintage’ and ‘Style is Eternal’. She is a costume designer by trade, currently completing her Master’s degree in Cultural Heritage.
