[Exhibition] The Women of Woorayl Shire

This year’s National Trust Australian Heritage Festival includes some nice costume and textile gems for your enjoyment. This is the first one; an exhibition of costume at the Coal Creek Park and Museum. From the NT AHF website:

The Women of Woorayl Shire is an exhibition showcasing the lives of Women in the Korumburra area between 1860 and 1920. Focusing on the costume collection at Coal Creek Community Park and Museum, these rarely displayed items form the starting point in the story of their owners lives.

Come to Coal Creek Community Park in Korumburra to view the “Women of Woorayl” exhibition. Focusing on the garments worn by women in the area between 1860 and 1920, the display provides an insight into the lives of women of this era. These collection items are rarely on display, so take the opportunity to marvel at the detail, care and skill that was need to make these items. Entry is free and allows you full access to the exhibition and the rest of the heritage village.
