I went to the last Sunday Best and can recommend it as a lovely way to spend an afternoon – especially when it’s gin and tonic weather (hello summer) and you have friends to share it with. Unlike many markets, there was no shortage of nicely dressed chaps and I snaffled a good quality pair of ’40s dress pants from one of them on the day.
As well as the jumble sale there will be live music, a BBQ on the roof, bar priced drinks, Sweet Jelly Roll DJs, barbers doing mens cuts and shaves, and for the ladies: sets in the salon. I liked the plates of home-made cakes they had last time – a nice and homely touch.
What: Sunday Best Jumble Sale
When: Sunday February 7th from 1pm to 6pm
Where: The Order of Melbourne, 401 Swanston Street.
Cost: Free entry, $20 for stall holders (see below).

There are currently a few stalls still available for stall holders wishing to sell clothing, shoes, records and bric-a-brac exclusively from the 20’s- 60’s. The stalls will be a fee of $20 and set up between 10am-1pm on the Sunday. There are opportunities for stalls both inside and on the roof in the sunshine, so its first in best dressed(pun intended!). We will provide a 2m x 1m table, 2 chairs per stall holder. You will need to bring your own coat hangers and clothing rails or any other display items.
If you would like to register your interest please call Talor on 0412172220 or email: sundaybestvintage@gmail.com.
