[Pics] Circa’s Vintage Pop-Up Sale

Hi all,

Along with twenty wonderful helpers, I’ve been working hard to set up Circa’s pop-up sale, and it’s now open and we’ve welcomed the first vintage lovers. I thought you might like to see some pics of how it looks and what you’ll find.

Here’s a snap we took before opening: love the ’50s Sutex sundress in the foreground.

…and here some of the styles on the racks (should note that some of these have already found good new homes but it gives you an idea of quality, range and price).

For $20 you’ll find this crepe 1940s summer dinner jacket and a 1970s (fake) Hermes blouse.

For $50 you’ll find a foofy ’70s blouse worthy of Sybil Faulty, and a cotton open-fronted ’50s skirt.

In the $80 price range, there’s a ’40s party dress and a ’90s bias cut tea dress

For $100, you’ll find a ’70s smock dress and a silk ’60s Sportscraft shift dress.

For $150 there’s a floral silk ’30s blouse and a silk polka dot late ’40s fit and flare dress with a big hip bow.

At the $200 price bracket there is a floral ’30s dressing gown and a printed velvet ’20s opera jacket.

For $250 you can snaffle these beauties: printed cotton dresses from the ’50s and ’40s.

For $350, these can be yours: a woolen ’50s Lili Ann coat with striped silk lining and a bias cut ’30s silk georgette evening dress. There are lovely things at every price point.

Bookings still available for appointments, for a $10 donation to Cat People of Melbourne. CPOM also receive a percentage of sales, and you’re also supporting my research into Australian Fashion history.

Hope to see you there!
