Hello fashion lovers,
I have an exciting talk this week at the Eternal Headonist, about the wonderful Elsa Schiaparelli and her ground-breaking fashion. It’s part of a mini-festival that the EH is dedicating to this wonderful and creative designer, and also part of the Melbourne Spring Fashion Week.
I’ll be bringing a slideshow of some of her most surreal and fascinating designs too.
From the website:
Elsa Schiaparelli has one of the most interesting stories in fashion. A true innovator, pioneer, adventurer and badass #girlboss long before such hashtags were required. Milliner, designer, friend to Dali, rival to Chanel and the only lady ever brave enough to dress a 1930s royal bride to be in a lobster!
In celebration of our Schiaparelli hat and jewellery exhibition during Melbourne Spring Fashion Week, Nicole Jenkins of Circa Vintage will present an hour’s talk on this incredible lady. You don’t want to miss this amazing insight from one of Australia’s most knowledgeable vintage fashion experts.
What: Talk: The Schiaparelli Story.
Where: The Eternal Headonist, Ground floor, Shop 9, Georges Arcade, 195 Little Collins Street Melbourne.
