Hi all,
It’s been a frantic week: we have restocked the sale several times with additional evening dresses, formalwear for men, more hats, scarves, vintage fabrics, haberdashery and today – added my favourite vintage patterns from the ’20s to the ’60s.
Tomorrow (Saturday) is the absolute last day and then there will be no more Circa Vintage Clothing retail shop.
I’ve had the best time over the last twelve years, meeting (and dressing) so many amazing people from all around the world including: artists, museums, performers, designers and writers. Your creativity has inspired me so much.
I’d like to thank every one of you because without your support I wouldn’t be able to do what I do, and wouldn’t be able to take it to the next level with this busy year of study both at the V&A and at Deakin, to continue my passion for the history of fashion into curating and museum studies.
The webshop of course, will continue and I look forward to showing you more of my fabulous treasures, including lots of ’20s and ’30s evening gowns and beaded dresses.
But for now, we have another -no doubt very busy – day at the sale. Here are some pics, and a price list – prices may go down as the day goes on as I’d love to have nothing left. They date from 1900 to 1980 and everything is priced to sell.
Dresses $10-40
Coats $20-40
Dressing gowns, lingerie and jackets $20
Tops, bottoms, shirts, small lingerie (knickers, garter belts), hats, aprons, patterns, fabrics, haberdashery, buckles $10

Also available are some shop fittings: my beautiful ’50s cake counter, filing cabinets, mannequins, vintage vases, vintage framed prints.
This beautiful silk ’40s evening gown was torn in the sale and is now available for $10: please give this wounded bird a home, she can be fixed.
omg I have followed you for years and was super excited to be flying to Melbourne for the first time and coming to see you in Feb..sigh! ( from NZ ).Congrats on running a beautiful store..I will have to be content on line 🙂
Sorry to miss you Melanie! Would have loved to have shown you the shop, but alas, it’s time to move on and focus on online. Hope you have a wonderful visit to Melbourne anyway, there are many lovely vintage shops here.
