Just arrived in the in-box:
That’s right girls it’s time to get on your bikes! Come on out for a fun afternoon riding around Sydney in the Rocket Fuel ‘we brake for cake’ scavenger hunt, Sunday September 6, 2009
Registration, sign on and payment ($5) at 1.00pm at Taylor’s Square on Oxford St, Darlinghurst. You will be handed a set of clues, things to do and collect in and around the city before we all meet back up to have a BBQ prize giving and swap stories of the day.
And this is the bit that I like:
Great selection of prizes up for grabs including ones for best dressed and cutest bike!
More info, including a list of things you need to bring, at the Rocket Fuel website. Wish I were in Sydney. We need events like this in Melbourne!
Hi Nicole
I have a Norman Hartnell evening gown. Seems to be made of net an strapless. Do people collect this designer’s clothes. I saw where a museum in Melbourne had a collection of his gowns. I live in Brisbane. Your shop looks fantastic. I was collecting vintage in the 70’s wasnt fashionable then and was a way to buy inexpensive clothes.
Dianne
Hi Dianne,
Hartnell is certainly collectable – he made beautiful clothes, especially for the Queen! He made her wedding and coronation gowns amongst others.
I envy your shopping in the ’70s: I’ve heard such tales and wish I could go back and clean out the op shops 🙂
