I remember wearing dresses like this in the late 60s and the 70s! I will be 61 in a couple of weeks and am a bonifide old hippie and I loved these dresses. I got into vintage in 1968, I still own my first vintage dress I ever bought and it is a chiffon from the 40s. Of course, I wish I could still wear it, I definitely would. And in the late 60s, the 1940’s wasn’t all that old…wow, I never thought of that way cause I was only in my 20’s…but I am still to this day a vintage clothing fanatic, lover and of course the 1940s is my favs. Love the dress send it to me I would wear it. It’s a beautiful dress – you’re fortunate to have enjoyed fashion in the late ’60s, early ’70s. Such an interesting time, all the rules were being broken. I was only very young but remember my mum’s wonderful wardrobe and that of her hippie/bohemian friends.
