Websitey Goodness.
Posted by Nicole under General
We’re still working on updating and improving Circa’s website, but here’s some of the news to keep you warm in the meantime:
- Shop windows are changed every week to two weeks, depending on how busy and/or inspired we are. The goal is to keep you posted with each new window so you can see some of our fabulous finds! Latest window (pics soon) is inspired by Alice Euphemia’s grand opening the other night, where the colours pink and black were a favourite combination.
Our guy and gals in the window are dressed in lush bouidor-fashion salmon pink, hot pink peach and (you guessed it) black. Clark, poor love, looks hopeful as he holds out a black satin garter belt complete with Schiaparelli stockings to our sassy lasses who disdainfully look away. You can’t beat original 1940s mannequins for attitude.
- What do think of the new style of the site? As with all works in progress, more will change but I’m thrilled to see Circa’s logo up there again. Thank you for bearing with us.
- We need more pics don’t we? I’ll be keeping a camera in the shop so I can upload images as they happen - coming soon will be a nice one of our shoe display, which has proved a bit hit. Three rows of shoes from 1900 to 1967, in sizes from 2 (!) to 9. We do get bigger shoes, but not as often as we like.
- I’d like to introduce “Frock of the Week” so I can share some of my favourite goodies with you. The best things don’t often hang around, sometimes they whizz out the door incredibly fast so this will be a good way of keeping a memento of the special ones. People often ask me if it’s hard parting with the best pieces, and the answer is: absolutely! But it gives me much pleasure to be able to find good, appreciative homes for them. And after all, every dress that sells creates a vacancy for another one to take it’s place in my, and Circa’s life.
- Leave me comments! What would you like to see here? Many of my readers are overseas and unlikely to ever visit the shop, so would you like to see interior shots? Displays? Menswear? Tell me what you’d like and we’ll see what we can do.
